A short film by the Austrian Alpine Youth Club about kids and families.
We continue to tell stories big and small about being outside with Days Outside for Kids. We take time for encounters in the woods, in fields, at the creek and on the mountain. It’s all about marvel and creation, listening and eavesdropping. Protection and movement. Letting go and courage.
With a keen sense for the topic , the film shows many precisely captured moments of how children experience the fascination of days outside in the company of their parents.
Franz Walter, filmmaker
The camera is a curious, calm spectator searching for clues. And we discover that children need environments that match their needs.
Days Outside for Kids! was produced by the Austrian Alpine Youth and implemented by filmmaker Franz Walter. The result is a movie that encourages us to learn from our children, to let them out and to engage in an intense exchange with ourselves, the children, and nature.
